I can't see myself not playing in college-volleyball has become such an important part of my life. I've never felt so passionate about anything before, and cannot imagine stopping. I also know that I can and will make a positive difference on any team I am put on.
I am always leading any group projects or presentations, making sure everyone in the group feels included and has something to do. I'm also always the last one up late at night, perfecting our project and sharing information with the teacher. ,
I am a very vocal leader on the court; I always try to help my teammates play to the best of their abilities, and encourage them if they're struggling. One example of me being a leader: My school team played another very difficult school who was in a higher division than we were. We were discouraged and getting crushed, but I kept up the energy and we all got so hyped up that we actually won one of the sets!
I keep a growth-mindset both physically and academically- I am always working to be better. I try to learn and retain as much information as possible in school and volleyball.
A woman in the area recently started a program for autistic individuals that focuses on teaching them gardening skills; it's called I have volunteered multiple times with her program- at events, (a Christmas party for example), get togethers (planting little sprouts), and weeding the gardening area for hours.
