Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play in college because it has been a dream of mine and I have worked hard to get to this point.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have been team captain for both softball and basketball for the past two years for my team. I try to lead by example by always working hard and encouraging my teammates. Although I am not president of our National Honor Society, I still step up and lead with our community projects.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I take pride in every aspect of being both a student and an athlete. On the athletic side, I work hard and eat healthy. In school, I challenge myself to take rigorous classes and work hard to keep my grades up.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am currently enrolled in our school’s National Honor Society. This club does multiple community service projects such as cleaning litter around our town. Participating in this is important to me because it allows me to give back to my community in small but effective ways.
