Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love the sport of diving as it gives me focus and is an outlet for me keep a balanced lifestyle. I really admire college athletes and their ability to multitask and be productive with their time and energy.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have spent the last 3 in leadership and student government holding a position of secretary for the Sophomore and Junior Class and currently as All Student Body Secretary. I have also held a position as team captain.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I think an athlete needs to be able to successfully create a balance between athletics and academics. A healthy athlete understands his/her strengthens and weaknesses on both sides and knows how and when to get assistance in working towards improving those weaknesses and promoting the strengthens.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am extremely involved in school and other volunteer programs that give back to my community. These activities are important in keeping me a grounded person and to understand that it is always important to give back and be a part of a strong community which benefits everyone in it.
