Personal Highlights

I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised from the age of 6 in Southern California. I come from generations of musicians, so I have always been told that my athletic talent was truly a gift that only God could give me. Basketball is my passion. It's what drives me to me be better and achieve more each and everyday. It has been consistent in my life from the age of 4. I began playing at the age of 4 at the YMCA, on to recreational basketball until the age of 8, where I began playing AAU travel ball. I tend to thrive in an organized type style of play, but my personality is extremely adaptable, and I am confident that I can be the leader and team player that any coach would need.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I will be the first one in my family to attend college. My parents have made education a huge part of my upbringing. Basketball is my passion, my dream. I want to succeed in life, I know that education is the necessary to ensure success as a man.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I took on the roll as assistant coach for a 13u summer league team. I feel like the direction that was given to them, from me was received well, as they all looked up to me and trusted the process. I have always been told by my parents and coaches that I was natural born leader. I am a good listener, take direction well, I am trainable, and coach able and I take that information and run with it.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I stay active. I stay hydrated and eat healthy. I am a very spiritual person. I pray and meditate and read. My body is a temple. What I put in is what will come out.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have spent the last five years working with a non-profit organization, that specializes in music therapy for kids with special needs. Music Heals Inc. A 501c3
This summer 2019, I have volunteered my time with Carol's Kitchen, another non-profit 501c3 that feeds several homeless in my community.
