Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports has always been a passion of mine. I enjoy the team camaraderie, personal player development growth and challenges, and school spirit that goes along with playing sports. I also believe that it has contributed to my academic success by enhancing my time management skills and work ethic as well as drive me to be the best student athlete I can be

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On my HS football team, I have been been awarded as team captain, and Hawk Pride character award. I have also set up study groups and tutoring sessions for classmates struggling with subject matter. I provide community service hours leading games/sports and learning activities, like computer training classes for a local non profit (Home for Refugees).

After playing in the flag league above for many years, I was invited by the league owners to be a coach and game referee. They liked my passion for developing skills in kids, how I lead the team and sense of fair play as well as conflict resolution of overly enthusiastic coaches and parents.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am very aware of the importance of proper nutrition, and strength and conditioning since I am a multisport Varsity Athlete. My other sport is Track and Field. I have has injuries in both sports, like hip flexor and ankle sprains, shin splints, hamstring tear, and a concussion. As a result of these injuries, I know the importance of RICE and warm up and stretching and rolling out these muscle groups.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Head Coach for NFL Flag Football in South OC League, I love working with young athletes ages 8-14 teaching them about sportsmanship, work ethic and passion for the game, as well as specific Football Skills and Drills
