Personal Highlights

I am from a large family, with three brothers and one sister, and grew up surrounded by sports and outdoor activities from a very young age. I have had to learn responsibility and leadership early, and have learned to balance a part-time job as well as balancing academics and sports as a student athlete.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have always wanted to play sports in college from the time I was very young, and would love to play football at the next level. I would love to be able to use both my athletic skills as well as academic skills to get a degree at a good college while playing the game I love.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am very active with my church and do many different things in the community such as serving meals at the homeless shelter and working in the food bank. I also have helped our football team run events for kids such as the Punt, Pass, and Kick event this spring and other local sports camps. I also have gone on mission trips and went to Guatemala last summer where I helped paint schools, plant trees, and work with children in villages. I think it is important to help others who don't have as much and especially help kids.
