I would want to be recruited to play sports in college because I love the sport I play. Soccer was there for me as a way to get away from certain things in life. I was able to be a rolemodel for some individuals and loved having a team that was like a second family. I would also want to be recurited to maybe get a scholarship to be able to pay for college.
On the field I demonstrate leadership by always helping my team mates and recommending certain things to help them. During games its all communication, which a leader has to be able to do to help make the team successful. Off the field I also demonstrate leadership in my classes and clubs. For example, in class when we have projects I take charge. Making sure that everyone and everything stays on track in order to make sure we are successful. Also in my schools club Link Crew, it's all about leadership. We are rolemodels and leaders to the incoming freshman. We help guide them to make the right choices and to keep them on the right track. We do this by organizing events for the freshman to get them involved and to help make the ransition into high school smoother. I am also in FFA, which helps students become leaders by improving social, leading, and communication skills.
I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by keeping a healthy lifestyle on and off the field. I do this by keeping a healthy diet that benefits me in anyway. Also by doing certain stretches that will prevent me from getting injuries, and if I do get an injury I listen to my coach, doctor, and athletic trainer's advice of what to do, so i don't injure myself further. Also during off season I find ways to improve my skills and health by maintaining a healthy diet. I do this by watching for certain foods I eat and by working out to keep in shape for season.
