Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love to play basketball and compete. I am working hard to have the opportunity to continue to play at a higher level in college. I live for basketball. It will be good to play a sport because sports because college can be stressful, and sports is healthy for my mind and for my body, and I love being on the team and playing with other players.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
  1. On the court, I have played on teams with new players, and I have directed them where to be on defense and offense during the games. It was chill to help the Freshman players to adjust and improve their game, too.
  2. Off the court, I was in a group project with other students who were very disorganized and not trying very hard. I took charge, assigned them an item, and made sure to stay on them to finish on time. We ended up getting an A- grade.
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try my best to be prepared for basketball. I do one on one training once a week and small group training fives times a week, and I attend my team practices. I also practice on my own and stay in shape by playing competitive soccer. I try to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night and eat healthy.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer for a program called Top Soccer Playdate which offers fun soccer activities to kids with disabilities. I am a Top Soccer Buddy. I want to help other kids who face extra difficult challenges in their lives to participate in a sports activity to increase their confidence and to help them be healthy, too.I also volunteer at the Altzheimer's Care Clinic in Folsom helping and interacting with the patients that live there. It makes me feel happy to bring some warmth into their lives because I know they can't be with their families all the time. During the COVID virus, I am volunteering at the Orangevale Food Bank every week to do my part in feeding the families that lost their jobs and can't afford to buy groceries. My favorite volunteer activity is to be an assistant coach during camps and guiding the little kids in basketball. I am grateful to be able to do something that may make a difference to others.
