Maine State Champion 1st 5000m women's u19 4+ 2019
As a three-sport athlete, participating in varsity crew, varsity volleyball, NERVA club volleyball, and varsity swim, I am accustomed to hard work. As club volleyball overlaps, there are days during the swim season in which I swim for two hours and then play volleyball for another two hours. During crew season I drive a half-hour to Waynflete condition or row for two and a half hours, and then on club days, follow with two hours of volleyball.
I won novice bronze at my first regional ergatta, gold in my first novice 8 regatta, bronze in my first novice 4, and bronze in the Maine regionals. I have been chosen as Captain of the volleyball team this fall, and won two golds and a silver at New England Regionals. In my first long course 5000m rowing race, my 4+ team won gold in the 2019 Maine State Championships.
Even with all of my athletic commitments, I manage to make the honor roll every semester, participate in many clubs, and volunteer. I am currently raising money for the people of Abaco - and hope to raise enough to send a shipping container full of urgent medical supplies to the island. In my spare time, I also enjoy surfing, and nordic and alpine skiing, and visits to the gym.
