I want to take my athletics performance to a higher level and I would love to study in an international setting. It would therefore be a perfect combination for me to improve myself in both academic and sporting areas. My drive is to reach the top in both areas. I am very competitive and I am willing to do anything to achieve my goals.
I am often the motivator in our athletics team by positively influencing everyone to get the most out of themselves and the team. In school projects I often take the lead to carry out the assignment as well as possible. I like to take responsibility for delivering a good quality end result.
A healthy athletic performance consists of making the right choices. It is more important to stay free of injuries than to participate in that one training or competition that will put your own health at risk. I will always put my health first even though I am very upset if I am in pain. I prefer to just participate because I want to show the world what I can do. But it is always better to take a rest and miss a race than to run the race and perhaps make the pain worse.
In the academic area, I provide tutoring lessons to children who need extra help with mathematics. I find mathematics a very nice subject myself, so I like to help other people who have a bit more difficulty with maths. By constantly repeating the material, I also get better at the job. In the athletic field I teach 2 groups of children. One group consists of children between 6 and 11 years of age and the other of children between 11 and 13 years. I really enjoy teaching the kids, but I had the idea that there was room for improvement. That is why I did an athletics trainer course, which improved my teaching skills. That way I can help others in my area and learn a lot myself at the same time.
