Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a part of National Charity League (NCL), I am co-president of New Trier's UNICEF club, and I participate in New Trier's Enriching Lives through Service club (ELS) . In NCL, I participate in philanthropy through many different organizations benefiting many different types of people. I am in the group with my friends and it is a mother/daughter organization. It strengthens the bonds of friendship and of mothers and daughters. Through NCL I am able to help so many people in my community and learn more about the world around me. I have become more aware of some of the struggles of the communities around me and that every little bit helps. In UNICEF club, I am able to organize and attend many fundraisers and help educate my school and my community about issues that are going on in the world that people may not be aware of. As a co-president I help to run meetings and get important information to my peers and my community as well. In ELS, I work with students who have special needs. From a young age, I have been friends with kids who have special needs. It has been a great opportunity for me to be a part of this club. I have made so many friends in ELS and I have been there to support the kids. I assist them through their daily tasks but I am really there to help in whatever way I can and to have fun with them.
