I enjoy running competitively and don't want to lose that experience once I go away to college. The relationships that I have made in highschool sports have helped to keep me motivated and that is something that I think will be even more important to have once I am away from my family.
ROTC was a cadette led program so we were responsible for the success of the group. I was also a part of the ROTC PT team and competed in several meets throughout the tristate area. In my senior year I was named captain of my cross country team. I am very excited to take on this role and set a good example and help the underclassmen succeed throughout the upcoming season.
I attend all practices unless there is something very important that keeps me from attending. when I have had to miss a team practice I have had my coach give me a work out to complete in place of what I missed with the team.
I was a part of the ROTC program at my high school freshman through junior year. The program ended so unfortunately I will not be able to participate in my senior year. I was involved in many volunteer events throughout my 3 years in the ROTC program. I think that being a part of ROTC and the things that it has exposed me to will help me to continue to be a leader in the future.
