Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would love the opportunity to be able to further my basketball career to the next level. Basketball has been my biggest passion for as long as I can remember. I have always been a competitor and a fighter on and off the court, so I know that I would do anything that I can to compete as a collegiate athlete.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

In order to stay healthy, I train every day. Before school, my team will practice by doing drills and scrimmaging for about 90 minutes. After school, I will either run around my neighborhood or I will work on my own skills in the gym at my local community center. I also train every other night with my former club coach, who helps me with my endurance as well as my shooting, ball handling, and defense. I also pursue a healthy athletic performance by eating healthy. I work to consume plenty of fruits and vegetables on a daily basis so that my body can be prepared for any future games.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer at Vineyard Church Food Bank. I gather, organize, and deliver food to families that are in need. Also, I have volunteered as a coach at some youth basketball clinics that were held at my local church, CCV. Some teammates and I would teach participants how to shoot, dribble, pass, play defense, and how to be a good teammate. Both of these efforts are extremely important to me because I always look to serve as many people as I can. It is rewarding to be able to help provide food for struggling families and to help young kids grow through basketball. I try hard to help others achieve goals as their own.
