Swimming is such a major part of my life right now. I love the environment and I love watching my hard work pay off as I work towards my goals.
As a peer advisor in a civics program at my high school I try to set a good example for freshman and help them develop skills that are essential to succeed in both school and the real world. At swim practice I am almost always the first person in the pool and I tend to be a lane leader. Some of my friends from my team have even said "I don't need to watch the clock I can just watch Danielle"
To pursue "healthy athletic performance" I make sure to stretch for practice and meets, eat healthy foods such as plenty of veggies, lean protein, and complex carbs.
I am president of my chapter of a teen community service organization called Lion's Heart. Some of my service projects include helping out at a local soup kitchen, tutoring, and volunteering for a non profit YMCA program.
