Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to continue to play golf in college because I enjoy the sport, desire to be a part of a collegiate level team and want to be an ambassador for the school I attend.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In golf, I mentor new golfers on my high school team and I mentor a 10 year old junior golfer. I spend time with the new golfers, and junior golfer, going over rules, discussing technique and swing/club options and talking about mental aspects of the game. Away from golf, I am an FFA officer for the top high school chapter in Southern California, raise market animals to sell at fair, and compete on my high school floral team. As an FFA officer, I have a substantial amount of responsibility in getting materials ready and planning for our monthly meetings and after school activities, attending leadership conferences and being visible in my community.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I was a competitive dancer for the past 10 years so I was always in excellent shape. Now that I have stepped away from dance to focus on golf, I continue to stay active by playing/practicing golf 5-6 times per week, eating a balanced diet and I plan to start weight training in November.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Community service has always been important to me. I can remember back to when I was 5 years old and my parents took me to volunteer at local events. Within the past year, I have volunteered with organizations such as Loaves and Fishes x10 where I gleaned produce from fields for families in need, with Corona Life Services where I served in several capacities at their annual banquet, with Operation Christmas Child where I packed shoe boxes with items for needy children around the world, with Isaiah's Rock Church where I packed food bags for needy families during the holidays, and at various events through the City of Norco with my FFA chapter. I believe it is important to make it a priority to give back and help others in need.
