I have been competing at middle distance athletics for only 4 years but in that time I have achieved an 800m time of 1:53, am county champion in Essex over 800m and 1500m, double silver medalist at South of England Championships. I also complete for the county at 800m and cross country. I have 400m time of 51 secs, 1500m 3:58 and 5km cross country 15.15. I am improving quickly and do not believe I have yet to reach anywhere near my full potential on the track or at cross country. My talent across a wide range of distances from 400m up to 5km and cross country makes me extremely adaptable and useful to track and field teams for both individual and relay options. It also allows me a range of distances to train to achieve my goal. I have a strong work ethic and am determined to train as hard as necessary to reach international track and field. I have recently been selected onto UK Athletics Youth Talent Programme (YTP) 2019-21. I also am strong academically having recently done my GCSE exams gaining top level grades across the board and have obtained a place at one of the top selective schools in the region. I am an accomplished pianist.
I love track - both training and racing and would like to be able to train and compete at the highest collegiate level in the US. I believe the US has the very best set up for track advancement in the world and combining my ambitious academic and athletic targets in the US is my dream. I strive constantly to be the very best at what I do and know there is a lot more to come.
I make sure I get enough rest and food. I have been on the England Athletics Youth Talent Programme where I have worked with nutritionists, psychologists and strength coaches and I follow the advice that they have given me over the past year.
