Personal Highlights

I have a talent in drawing and painting. With it, I've been given the opportunity to make artwork for friends and family!

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play sports in college because I want to continue my career in running and explore the opportunities I can receive by doing so.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

One example where I've shown leadership in field is when maintaining order through the boy's team. The boys team can be quite chaotic and dysfunctional, so its up to me and the upper class-men to straighten their behaviors. An example outside the field is organizing activities for younger children in an summer program. I volunteered at a church where younger children are there to review and learn for the upcoming school year and it sometimes requires me to organize and activity for them.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

By how I view the term "healthy athletic performance" its being able to perform in activities and competitions without a barrier. Barries that include: sleep deprived, under-nourishment, injuries, and drug-use. By balancing my time, avoiding drug use, and treating my body with respect, I have no problem pursuing "healthy athletic performance".

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteered in my hometown, Pomona, in a church where I volunteered to help kids further progress their education. These efforts are important to me because it gives me a sense of pride and self-worth towards my community.
