Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Ever since I was young I’ve wanted to compete at collegiate as well as the pro level. Playing in college would be an absolute honor and I’m looking forward to it.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In practice and in meets, I do my best to keep myself and my teammates focused and ready. I try to keep that same focus and intensity in the classroom as well. I always work my hardest and turn my work in on time. I also try to help others learn and understand the topic.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Pursuing healthy athletic performance to me as a student-athlete includes eating healthy and hydrating properly in order to give my body the fuel it needs to compete at the high level. It also includes being in shape and keeping my body ready to preform. Rest and recovery is also a big part in taking care of body to prevent injury and to also get stronger. As a student-athlete, there’s a reason that student comes first so work in the classroom is just as important as on the track.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am an Eagle Scout so service has always been a big part of my life. Service is emphasized not only in scouting, but also in my church. I’ve done service projects ever since I was young and enjoy helping others.
