Other Academic Information
I was going through a lot freshmen and sophomore year that really destroyed me mentally. It made me struggle on keeping my grades up. I was in a really dark place at the time. My GPA does not define what I am fully capable of, I promise. I am truly a hard working student. I love to learn.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love running. Running means everything to me. I had it very tough growing up and it was a way for me to relieve stress and not end up like my dad. I would do anything to continue my running career. I am a go getter. I had a late start to XC but my times keep improving which is a good sign. I am currently on my senior season which is only my second year of running cross country.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am currently stepping up as a senior and taking the time of leading my team this current season. There is only a couple seniors on the varsity team as it is a very young team. Off the field I’d there is any lead role offered I take it. I like to think that athletes are suppose to lead by example. I will be the first person to raise their hand when asked to volunteer for anything.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I just love to run. I obviously want to continue to pr but I’m happy just as long as I’m running. I don’t need to be the fastest on the team. I eat very healthy (pescatarian diet) and get my hours of sleep every night, which is all I need to run good!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I can’t just describe one, I’ve been involved in too many. I love doing service for community because it is always for a great cause.
