Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Since a very young age I have always had a passion for volleyball. Growing up there were not many opportunities for boys volleyball in Minnesota, I did not let that discourage me and I worked hard every day and was constantly touching a volleyball.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

This past spring was the first ever Minnesota boys state volleyball tournament. I led the team on the court as the solo captain and worked hard to keep everyone engaged. Off the court I am a very supportive teammate and work hard to be a light in everyone's day and I never stop encouraging my teammates, or friends.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I work just as hard at school as I do in volleyball. I believe that if I'm playing advanced high- level volleyball, I need to be taking advanced high- level classes as well. This year I am taking two AP classes, which is a good balance with sports.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

From a young age I have always been interested in helping the community. My family used to volunteer at our church's food shelf for many years and from that I have developed a passion for helping people.
