Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Playing baseball in college and beyond has been a dream for as long as I can remember. My father taught us that people don't fail because they set their goals too high and can't reach them. They fail because they set them too low and do reach them. I know that most players my age have only five or less years to play baseball and then it's all over. I want to play for as long as I can! Playing for a good school would be a dream come true while earning a degree in an area I may have to fall back on if my baseball career ends after college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I play center field and am responsible to take charge of the outfield and direct other players to areas based on the batter. Off the field, I am a member of Student Council and hold a leadership role within the school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I see athletes looking for shortcuts or making bad decisions that put their future in jeopardy in both athletics and school and perhaps life. I spend time in the classroom, the gym and on the field working hard to make it the right way.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a member of the National Honor Society and was a member of the Beta Club prior to that. Both organizations require service hours but I don't consider it work. My father owns his own business and taught me that it is important to always give back.
