Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited as a collegiate diver.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

One example of how I am a leader in my community, is through my school other extra curricular school involvement. For example, throughout the entirety of my high school career, I have been the elected Vice President of the class of 2021. Throughout the past 4 years, I have been able to orchestrate school events, coordinate our senior prom, and lead my other class officers in the creation of various school initiatives.

One example of how I am a leader on the field is through my ability to teach and advise other athletes. Due to my knowledge of diving and swimming, my coaches have put me in a position where I am able to teach new divers, and give advice that can only be given by somebody in the same situation. This has allowed me to lead others in that people see me as somebody who can give tips or advice that will aid their diving.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue healthy athletic performance by making sure I am confident in my abilities. when participating in a meet or game, it is very easy to become stressed. As somebody who has felt the pressure of not knowing what the outcome of a meet will be, I like to prepare myself as much as possible. I do so by affirming what I already know through visualization of dives, land drills and reviewing my actions step by step, so that there is no doubt in my actions.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in the service of my community in multiple ways. For instance, I am a member of National Honor Society, Hispanic Honor Society, and an active member of the musical community in my city. Through both of the honor societies I am involved in, I complete various community service acts each month, ranging from school activities to volunteering at city events. I value these because they encourage me to do work that I might have have experiences. Through Hispanic Honor Society, I have been able to participate in volunteer work with students from other schools, and do work that I never thought possible. In addition to honor societies, I frequently volunteer to perform violin for different organizations and events. I have done this since middle and it has allowed me to gain invaluable experience, while providing a unique service.
