Football Additional

I have been playing football since as long as I could walk, on a team since I was 8 years old. I started on Varsity my Freshman year about 3 games into the season as a cornerback. Our team made it to the semi-finals in playoffs my Freshman Year. As a Sophomore I am the starting cornerback, leading the state in interceptions, I play runningback as needed and am the backup Quarterback for Varsity. I love the game of football, and study it constantly. I am a leader on and off the field, voted as the football unity leader for my Sophomore class. In addition to football I am a wrestler and also track athlete. I went to state as a Freshman for Wrestling, physical contact sports is something I thrive in. I am humble and lead on the field with my faith, giving all the glory to God for blessing me with a strong athletic ability. In my spare time I am consistently working out on my own or with my trainer, always looking to better myself and my skills to increase my performance level.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have always wanted to play at the next level since I was a young boy. I study the sport and play the sport with passion all the time.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have been voted for my class as the unity leader in football both my Freshman and Sophomore year. As a unity leader it means that I will guide my classmates and teammates on and off the field. There have been several instances where my teammates weren't making the best choices in the classroom or outside and I have needed to step up and talk with them to move forward in positive direction.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a 3 sport athlete being in good health both inside and outside my body are important. I work out regularly outside of practice and eat healthy all the time. As a wrestler I have also been accustomed to fueling your body with good foods regularly and have a strict diet I adhere to. Being in the best health possible is always important to me.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Giving my time to help others and making time is so important to give back. I like to be a role model to to other kids helping run camps and also ophan groups that I support in giving my time in guiding kids in the right direction.
