Other Academic Information
I was admitted into the National Honors Society since the end of my sophomore year and have maintained that status throughout my junior year. I plan to retake the SAT test in the fall if offered because my initial score does not reflect my academic accomplishments, and was taken at the very beginning of my junior year.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I thrive in a team environment where everyone is working towards a goal. I love the water, rowing and the feeling it provides me when I am out there. I struggled a lot throughout high school, and rowing was my safe haven. I realized how much the sport means to me, and how much I benefit from the community. I feel like I have a lot to contribute to a program and would love to explore it with interested colleges.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been involved with a few volunteering opportunities throughout high school. Marist Mentors allows me to mentor younger children in one of the poorest cities in Massachusetts - Lawrence. Through the Boys and Girls club, I was able to spend time after school helping with homework, playing games and developing a relationship with several kids over the 2+ years that I did it.

In addition, our family has hosted Mirbert Ruiz from the Bronx NY for the past 8 years though the Fresh Air Fund program. This has provided me the opportunity to share my life and friends, learn about his life and develop a lifelong friendship and bond that has enriched me in many ways.

These efforts are extremely important to me because of the value service can give to someone. I'm very passionate about helping those in need and caring for the less favored. Taking time out of your day to help someone, is a little act that could go a long way. It doesn't only affect the ones receiving the help, but it also allows you to realize how grateful you should be, and form strong bonds with some who need it most.
