Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I am new to rowing after playing various sports of basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse but have fallen in love with the sport of rowing. It pushes me both mentally and physically. While it has been the hardest of all the sports that I have played, it has been the most enjoyable so would love the opportunity to continue through college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

For the past two years, I have coached a girls u10 lacrosse team. It has been a joy mentoring these young ladies and inspiring them to have a love for the sport.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I played multiple sports starting in fourth grade. I played volleyball and basketball through 8th grade. I continued to play basketball in high school and started playing lacrosse, too. This year, my junior year, I started rowing and will do both lacrosse and rowing this year.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Serve on the Hinsdale Hospital Jr Board of Directors. Over my three years on the Jr Board, I have chaired numerous events and program to assist with fundraising goals. Fundraising is vital to ensure adequate healthcare to all socioeconomic classes.
