Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I've always wanted to play football, ever since I was young. Becoming a College Athlete and playing in the next level has always been one of my dreams and has been one of my dreams pretty much my whole life. I also know college will be stressful, but being able to go out on the field after classes would help let out some of the steam, and take a break from classes, and studying. Physical activity is my favorite way to reduce stress, playing a sport in the next level will make me a happier student!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I push my fellow teammates on the field, leading them by example is one of the main reasons how I show my leadership on the field. I try to demonstrate that communication is key and respect is always a priority no matter how we feel. I'm also an older brother at home, I have 3 younger siblings who look up to me. Having responsibilities, being caring and communicative, always ready to listen, and giving advice as well as all my love and support, all demonstrate my leadership.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Healthy athletic performance to me as a student athlete means to always try to get at least 9 hours of sleep, make sure what I am consuming won't hurt my body, drink plenty of water. I try to be active in the gym, working out, running, playing other sports like track and field, wrestling, martial arts, and soccer. Another thing is, I watch out who my friends are. As a teenage boy, drugs are all over the place and seems like everyone my age are using them. I try to pick friends who don't associate with those kind of things.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Services in my community that I am involved in are activities like reading books for children and volunteering at a shelter serving lunches. These efforts are important to me because literature was always important when I was kid in our family, and I try to show my little brother that reading is "cool". Also helping the less fortunate in my community is also important because every night when I go home I have a warm home-cooked meal to eat and warm bed to sleep in and sometimes when I take things for granted, its a nice way to get back to reality and be humble whenever I go to the shelter. It's always an eye opening experience for me.
