Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Every since I picked up my first volleyball in third grade I've been in love. I feel at home on the court surronded by my best friends. I don't ever want to see it end. My biggest goal is to have the chance to play at the collegiete level.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court I am my club volleyballs co-captain. I am the designated libero and run the back row with my fellow co-captain who runs the front row as the setter. I bring a level of determination to the court and lead by motivating, encourgaging, friendship, responsibilty, and I cheer for my teammates (even my friends on opposing teams).
Off the court, I have served many leadership roles within my 4-H club; from Health and Safety Officer, Secretary, to President. I think being a good role model to the younger kids in my club is important.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I practice volleyball non-stop whether it's "off season" or not. I run and do physical therapy exercises as well to continue to heal a prior injury. I eat a balanced diet of fruit and vegetables and my family makes it a priority to sit down for dinner at home together every night. I limit my caffeine and drink water instead.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been a memeber of 4-H since 3rd grade and over the years one of the biggest focuses has been on service. I've enjoyed giving back to my community through many different avenues. I've helped prepare and serve meals at a local church, rang the Salvation Army's Bell at Christmas, decorated the VA hospital during different holidays, helped pass out free food at our Hope Clinic, made blankets for local nursing homes and many, many more.
