Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to row in college so I can compete at a higher level and to continue to do what I love to do.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a Best Buddies officer at my high school and was last year as well. Best Buddies is an international non profit organization that pairs people with and without Intellectual and Developmental disabilities in one to one friendships to spread inclusion. As an officer I help organize and run the monthly meetings with the other officers. Along with Best Buddies, I display leadership off the water at the summer camp I’ve been going to for the past 7 years. In 2018, my 6th year as a camper attending Adirondack camp, I received the highest award called an “Eagle”, given to both campers and counselors for outstanding display of leadership, responsibility, respect, cooperation, growth, effort, courage, and independence. On the water I display my leadership by including the lower class man in activities and workouts during practices to set a good example for them and to make them feel more welcome into the varsity level.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

To insure that I am healthy and ready to perform at my best ability I make sure I get at least 8 hours of sleep every night even on school nights. I also eat very healthy by eating a strictly organic diet.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a part of National Honors Society in my high school and volunteer at my local elementary school. Helping out at the elementary school is important to me so I can be a good role model for the younger kids.
