Personal Highlights

I did competitive gymnastics from 2009-2017 and have been playing volleyball ever since. I played as a middle blocker for most of my volleyball career and have transitioned into playing as a right side hitter and also training as a setter. I’m right handed but am working on being able to hit ambidextrously to get better opportunities as a hitter. I was born originally in Caracas, Venezuela and moved here in 2009 with my family.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play sports in college because I know that it’s a great way to keep playing the sport I love and learn even more than I do now. I’m so excited to work with new teammates and coaches that will challenge me and also push me to play my best. It’s a great way to learn more responsibility and discipline, and also learning to handle studies and sports as a student athelete, preparing me for the real world.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue healthy athletic performance as a student athlete by training outside of practice, trying to maintain a healthy diet, striving for a good sleep schedule and good mental health for an even better mental game. I take advice from former or current college volleyball players and coaches, and also work hard to never miss a practice or a conditioning session. It’s important to me to keep myself up to my own standards as a player and an athlete, and train hard on and off the court so I can better my game when it’s time to go all in.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
