Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My goal is to compete in college as an All-American scholar athlete and pursue professional career

I hold myself to high standards on and off the court.

Academically, I want to major in Science, Math, and Engineering

Long term goal is to help change the world in the field of Science

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the basketball court, I lead by example by competing hard every play. I hustle and communicate with my team yelling out plays and sets. In turn, my teammates respond the same way.
At my middle school, a portion of my grade is based on group projects that are due each week. I hold meeting with my group on Monday to discuss upcoming assignments and plan to get it done. I check in with my group during the week and hold a meeting on Friday to recap what we completed.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

2 things have helped me
First, I have been training as a Junior Olympic track athlete since I was 7 years old and it taught me: discipline, hard work, and dedication.
Second, I attend a self-paced learning middle school. Where I plan my schedule each week to complete school assignments and days I train for basketball

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I serve as CEO of Pizza Day at my middle school. I took on role to lead my class in fundraising for a year end trip that we plan for. We decide where we will travel to based on how much money we make from Pizza Day and other fundraising events. I set the relationship with the pizza vendor, put out order forms to my school community, collect the forms and payment, and order pizza every Friday to serve all the students at my school during lunch. In addition, I also volunteer at Ohtani Basketball program where we do fundraising events for the community in Berkeley. I believe making contributions to your community is important because we all benefit when people work together.
