Personal Highlights

I am a very driven and organized person. My current GPA is 4.1 and I am ranked 4 out of 144 in my class. I love baseball and train year round in order to get better. I am very team oriented but am also a leader on the field. My other interests include playing soccer, hunting, fishing, and playing the piano.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love baseball and I want to play for as long as I can. To be recruited, is a goal of mine.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

During my first varsity pitching appearance, we were down 5 runs. I was brought in with bases loaded and no outs, after the opposing team had just scored 3 runs. I struck the next three batters out and sparked the team to come back and win the game. When behind the plate, I work with the pitchers when they are struggling and help keep everyone positive and engaged in the game. Off the field, I try to be a good role model for my younger brother, and I help tutor friends with math, chemistry, and biology.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

For me, baseball is a year round effort. I play school ball, summer travel ball, and play in a fall league. I am in a strength training class at school. I do band workouts and limited weight lifting during the season. In the off season, I do band, and medicine ball workouts, as well as lift weights on a more rigorous basis.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

For the past two years I have helped make gifts and decorations for area nursing homes. While not big, I think doing things like this is important because it helps let those older than me know they are appreciated.
