Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Even though I have just started rowing this fall, I have fallen in love with the mindset behind success in the sport. Rowing pushes me mentally and physically to be stronger and rely on grit, which I believe is beneficial in all aspects of the sports and academics. I'd love to be part of a team with a positive environment that reflects those values and pushes me to grow and improve in the boathouse and the classroom.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the water, I physically lead my teammates during practices and races in my position as stroke seat and part of stern pair. In the boathouse, I lead the team in group workouts and set the pace for stroke rate-based erg pieces. Last summer, I served as a volunteer leader for multiple camps and programs through my church and I teach small groups of children on Sundays. As a cultural ambassador at Westminster, I aim to support and aid foreign exchange students as they adjust to their time at the school and plan events and socials for them.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
