Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I demonstrate my leadership on the field by supporting and encouraging my teammates, as well as leading by example. Off of the field, I demonstrate leadership in similar ways. I strive to do my best while encouraging others to do the same. In addition, in group projects, I may take charge to make sure everyone has an opportunity to speak their mind and relay ideas. All in all, I make sure to listen to all opinions, ideas, and thoughts.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As an athlete, I make sure all aspects of my life are balanced. I make sure my body stays healthy in regards to eating the right types of food and drinking enough water. I also make sure I get enough sleep. Setting goals is also significant. I make sure to set new goals every time I accomplish an old goal. In addition, I stay in contact with friends and family, all of which are a support system.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am in involved in Key Club and Interact Club through my high school. Both involve fundraising and volunteering in the community. I also have organized a Community Yard Sale for cancer patients in the past. I am also a member of Interact which involved fundraising to help others combat hunger. Currently, we are working on a fundraiser in which we will use the money to buy food for food pantries.
