Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

As an athlete I am excited to further pursue my career in athletics and I am determined to continue improving to become a better athlete and a great team member. I love competing for myself and for my team, always striving to improve and make new personal bests and grow as an athlete.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I coach a squad of young children in diving, which has taught me how to be a good leader and how to encourage others, always keeping a positive mindset.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As an athlete I regulalry see a nutritionist and a psychiatrist, which ensures I am eating the right foods for me and foods that will help have a positive effect on my athletic performance and ensure that I maintain a healthy and positive mindset when it comes to my daily life and competing in my sport.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer as a simulated patient for aspiring doctors, which has not only educated me on what becoming a doctor is like, it has also taught me about different illnesses and how they affect people, which has given me a new perspective and skills that I can apply in everday situations and with my friends.
