Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My dream is to play in the NBA. I know there is a very small chance of that happening, but I plan to use all the resources available to me, including colleges who offer their guidance, to make sure I'm in the best situation to make that happen.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I've been a leader on the court by encouraging my teammates, even when we're down. Also by holding myself accountable when I make mistakes. Off the court, I make sure I'm a good example for my siblings by concentrating in school, doing my chores properly (this is REALLY important in our busy home), and keeping them and myself out of trouble.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

My high school has classes for Sports Medicine. I use my knowledge from those classes to make sure I'm doing the right thing, in the right way. This includes proper eating, proper muscle training, how to handle injuries, and how to help heal injuries.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my own time, when I’m not playing basketball, I spend some time volunteering at Love Thy Neighbor, Inc., a local non-profit organization, as a youth leader. Being a youth leader is important to me because I'm the 2nd oldest of 7 children, and my siblings look up to me to be a great leader.
