I truly love playing lacrosse and would be honored to play in college. Sports have developed my skills on how to be a leader, time management, balancing life, and having self-discipline. I also really love being busy.
In the lacrosse pre-season at my high school, I helped my fellow teammates and all of the other players on the other teams to prepare for the upcoming season. I created workouts and different lacrosse drills. By the time lacrosse season started those girls were prepared and ready to focus on the game.
I believe that a healthy athletic performance for athletes is being able to balance many things on their plates. For me, it would be balancing academics, athletics, and volunteering. Those are the main things I focus on.
Volunteering is important to me because I like to help others. For years I have gone to a community center to help Loaves and Fishes. Loaves and Fishes is a service that helps cook and serve food to members of the community. In high school, a few friends and I started a club called Women of the Future. It is a club for women empowerment and we go out into the community and do many volunteering trips. Every year we do fundraisers and planning for our huge service of the year. Every year we do one big act of service project while doing many other volunteering jobs. These efforts are important to me because not only am I helping those in need but also teaching younger students to have the same passion to give a leading hand.
