Varsity member since freshman year, have competed in Junior nationals and placed 7th.
Last 2K was 6:50 March 2020 pre-covid19. I will be testing again soon and have been working out on and off erg since last test.
I would love an opportunity for the physical work that I've put in to help me out and give me access to higher level education, as well as a chance to be a part of a new team and work alongside new teammates with the same goals.
I've tried to become a leader in every way possible. I've been an elected member of Student Council for two years, served on TEPS (a faculty nominated sophomore leadership organization), and joined other organizations across my school to develop myself as a leader.
Weather it is lifting weights or an erg piece approaching the workout with intensity from minute 1 is always a goal of mine. Other things that I view as essential to having a healthy athletic performance are being careful to have a healthy diet and watching the amount of sleep I get.
I've been a member of student council, TEPS (sophomore leadership), BTEC(school wide event organization), missionary committee, and other groups. However more important than these groups or their names is the actual service projects each group accomplishes. Through my years I've gotten to work with Widows harvest, Bethel Bible Village, The Salvation Army, The Chattanooga Foodbank, Neightions (a local refugee aid group), Orange Grove (a mental health aid facility), and so many more places that have helped me realize what true leadership and service mean to me.
