Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Ever since I was a little kid, I have dreamt of playing sports in college. I would love to find a school where I could be successful both athletically and academically. I would love to be a part of a college basketball program where I can be successful and be an instrumental part of the team.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

While on the court, I work hard to be a leader for my teammates. I feel being a mentor for underclassmen is very important. I work to always have empathy and enthusiasm as well as having the ability to communicate with my teammates. Overall, my goal is to push my team to be the best we can be on a daily basis. Off the court, I maintain the same goals as a leader. I try to help out my teammates as much as possible, whether that is on the court with skills or off the court with homework. I talk with other girls in the program and work to set up events for our entire basketball program. On the court, I try to be a positive role model at all times. Every game and practice I want to set a good example for my team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I work hard both in and outside of practice. I work on my skills as well as lifting and conditioning outside of practice. Besides athletic performance, I also work hard in the classroom. I am an all-a student with a 4.304 weighted and 4.0 unweighted GPA. I feel academic performance is very important, especially for student-athletes as being a student comes first. I strive to better myself everyday, while keeping myself healthy.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
