Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love the game of soccer. It has always been a big part of my life, and I want to take my playing ability to the highest level that I can. Furthermore, I am a very active person. I am constantly moving and I need a balance of activities on a day to day basis. Soccer is huge way for me to expend energy and to increase my skills. I want to be able to play soccer in the highest league possible.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I am a leader. This year for my junior year, I was appointed Captain of both my Varsity high school team and also my Club team. But even when I was not a captain, I was leading my teams in drills and exercises, and was setting the example to them as a good role model. I am the person people reach out to for information regarding practices, games, times, uniform colors, you name it. Even on the field during a game I push my teammates towards perfection and victory, and even if things do not go our way, I never let them put their heads down.

I am also a strong leader off the field. On Oct. 1, 2020, I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, after completing multiple leadership roles, developing, planning and executing a community service project and successfully completing a Board of Review interview with a panel of interviewers from the Orange County Council. At my job on the Facilities Management crew , my boss designates me to do the more difficult jobs and relies on me to get the job done. At my church, I am very involved in the youth ministry and am one of the mentors to help younger high school students. I keep other people accountable in school and work. I work hard to make sure I am setting a good example and to be a great role model for the classes after me.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I balance high school soccer and club soccer with strong academics, family, church and friends. Regardless of Covid and the California lockdowns, I have made sure that I continue to stay in shape by doing my own workouts, eating right, training with the team, and taking up Spikeball to keep my reflexes sharp.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I just recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout on Oct. 1, 2020. I was able to lead and execute a service project for the elementary school that I attended in Mission Viejo. Over 42 hours of service were put in to complete this project. I persevered to achieve this rank while keeping up a strong academic work load, 7 soccer practices a week, and a church commitment. Furthermore, my job in whole is service, as I work to set up events for all ministries at my church.
