Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to cox in college so I can compete at a high level and contribute to a college team. I want to be able to use my leadership qualities at the next level and be involved in my school. As well as improve and elevate everyone around me, pushing us all to be the best we can be.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a coxswain so on the water I display leadership so that my crew trusts me to help us excel as a boat. I lead practices and keep everything running smoothly. Off the water I took the initiative to start a volunteer-organization that delivers cards to kids in the hospital. This can aid in the recovery process by improving mental health which is an important issue to me.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I make sure that I am fueling my body for practice and managing my time appropriately in order to get schoolwork done and get enough sleep.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer with the learn-to-row and middle school programs at my boathouse. This helps the kids from a solid foundation for the sport as well as develop the life skills that come with participating in a sport at high level. I also run a volunteer-organization called the Hope Express Card Drive. We deliver handmade cards to kids in the hospital.
