I really love diving. I love to practice and I love to compete. I love learning new dives. Diving in college will allow me to continue doing what I love for several more years. I think I'm a pretty good diver now but I know I can get much better as part of a college program. I am really excited to take my diving to the next level. As a result, I can also help my college team be successful.
Over this past winter, my twin brother and I put together a workout and weighlifting area in our basement. Obviously, my main sport is diving, his is baseball. Ab work is really important for diving, so we created a space for that. We also asked for a full weight set for Christmas and now can do pretty much any lift we want at home. This has been really nice during the COVID pandemic, since we can't work out at school. We can stay strong and healthy at home.
This past summer I began lifeguarding and teaching dive lessons at our neighborhood pool. It was so fun to work with the young kids and get them excited about diving. This is the same pool where I began diving during the summer and it was really nice to give back and make new memories with these little kids. I think most will continue diving for many years because of the fun and coaching they had this summer.
