Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! My name is Haley Adams and I dive for Courtney Gills at Atlantic Coast Diving in Jacksonville, Florida. I am looking forward to graduating from a Christian college preparatory high school in 2022, as a successful well- balanced student and athlete. I transitioned from competitive gymnastics (level 8) into diving in 2017. Although I have only been diving 3 years, my determination and hard work have contributed to my success. I was a zone qualifier on 1 Meter in 2018 and 2019! My goal is to continue to use hard work and perseverance to lead to more progression and more success on the board. As I look towards college, I envision my college years to be a time of personal growth both academically and as a college diver at a university that provides a superior education as well as a dive program that is inspiring, supportive, and fosters an environment of success and integrity. As a student, my goal is to explore a major that will position me well for medical school. As an athlete, my goal is to continue to grow and advance as a diver and to significantly impact a school, community, and dive program with my athletic skills, leadership, and character for years to come. I strive to be a dynamic asset on 1 meter, 3 meter, and tower for a program that strives for excellence. Although there is currently no tower in Jacksonville, I have a strong desire to train and compete tower in college. Most importantly, I am looking forward to being part of a college and dive program that will have just as much of a positive impact on my life as I will have on their school and dive program. Thank you again for your time and interest!!
All the best!
I have been a well balanced student athlete from a very young age. I started in gymnastics and transitioned into diving in 2017. I immediately found a love in the sport of diving. I enjoy being a student-athlete and believe the challenge of doing both it what drives me in life! It has given me strength, confidence, and self discipline in life to show me that all things are possible. I enjoy being part of a team or program that strives for excellence, and I enjoy representing the sport of diving and would welcome the opportunity to continue the journey in college!
As an athlete, I feel it is important to be a leader on and off the pool deck. I use my dedicated work ethic, positive attitude, and character to impact those around me.
As a student-athlete, I feel there are many components to healthy athletic performance. To achieve healthy athletic performance I make sure that I am not only fueling my body with a well balanced diet, but that I also fuel my mind with positive energy. I make sure that I am conditioning my body physically with workouts and drills that will benefit me physically on the diving board. I make sure that I am balancing my schedule also to get enough sleep to help me achieve a healthy balance both academically in the classroom and physically on the pool deck.
I am a member of Key Club at my school which provides me the opportunity to participate in multiple service projects throughout the year. The most recent project was making and delivering care packages for police officers in our community! I also volunteer at a school in my area during teachers work week to help set up classrooms and curriculum for the students. Recently during the COVID pandemic I helped the elderly and high risk adults by grocery shopping and delivering their groceries.
