Rowing Additional

Just one quick information, the 2k is almost 6 months old (we did one while we where not allowed to go to the club because of Covid 19) , but I will be doing a 5k and a 2k in the next couple of weeks, then it should be lower.
I didn’t put anything at ‘Position’ for a reason. I do both sweeping and skulling, but If I had the opportunity to row at University I would only sweep since it is my main event. And I sweep both Starboard and Port, so I have no problem on rowing on either of the two sides, this is because in training and racing I do both sides, depending on what is needed and which boat class it is.

Because I am from Germany, I don‘t have a GPA or SAT but my Abitur will be around an 1.9 which is about a 3.1-3.4 GPA. My plan is to **start University in 2022**, because I am thinking about doing a social year or something like that. But I will finish school in 2021.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

One Example of how I have demonstrated leadership outside of rowing is being a class president. I was elected for this position and it also made me eligible to be one of the senior class representatives. My job has many different aspects, on the one hand I am part of the communication between the teachers and my classmates, on the other hand I am part of the student’s representation, where all the class presidents meet to talk about what is going on in the school and what kind of activities we could plan. Examples for those activities are school balls, summer events and organizing activities around Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

But I also demonstrate leadership in rowing. In this area I am the youth representative on the club board of one of the rowing clubs I row for. But that’s not all I am doing as I also organize different events. Those go from summer activities, Christmas party’s, events to get more people to joining rowing and small regattas. If I have time, I am also helping the coaches at that club to get more of a feeling, what the group wants. This gives me the option to change something in the club and get more people to start rowing, since it is not as popular in Germany, as it could be. I do this since it is such a wonderful sport.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
