As an eSports student-athlete, I believe there are essentially “three pillars” of development along the pathway to university: academics, athletics as well as the individual (encompassing the social aspects of the student-athlete: conduct, mutual respect, poise, perseverance, mentoring and, most-importantly, leadership (in the community))). The ultimate goal should be to maximize both the performance, as well as any necessary improvement, across all three pillars to produce a well-rounded, diverse high school graduate.
I am entering my sophomore year at Laurel Springs, an online private high school. Online high school combined with eSports has greatly expanded my time management skills, focused my goal setting and commitment to the process as well as offered multiple valuable teamwork opportunities.
In the classroom, I study very hard and maintain a high GPA. I am also actively involved in my school and community.
Ever since I first participated in eSports, I fell in love with the games, the people as well as the environment. I am very lucky to have found success and maintained a global group of college coaches, professionals, friends and acquaintances. I have aspirations to play at the highest level possible, positively impacting myself and my university. I am extremely coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the team (including actively sharing insights and innovations I have developed over time through in-game experience).
My mindset is to attend a university where I will be challenged both academically and athletically. Above all else, I envision my time at university to be an extension of my personal growth from high school. I am open to ALL options and want to ultimately find the institution that is best fit for me.
As a sophomore, I have barely initiated the process of deciding on my major. That being said, it will likely be diverse as my interests span from music to computer science to culinary arts.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
