Personal Highlights

My sister (Erinne M. Phillips) attends James Madison University as a Music Education Major.
My dad attended college at West Virginia University and Virginia Commonwealth University, but did not complete a degree program.
My mom attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her B.S. in Psychology, M.T. in Special Education, and Post-Master's Certificate in Education Administration and Supervision.

I participate in my school's Jazz Show Choir program called Capital Swing (from August until May each school year), which includes high intensity choreography during class and weekly rehearsals and our Chamber Ensemble, which studies and performs college-level music repertoire.

I have played basketball since the age of 4, including recreation leagues, AAU leagues, and year-round training.

I have both a basketball and football profile.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

During the school basketball season (November-February) , I attend team practice, participate in specialty clinics (shooting, ball handling, etc.), and work with my personal trainer, John Haggai, who specializes in strength, agility, mobility, and individualized conditioning.

In the off season (March-October), I am a member of an AAU team, I participate in daily training at Foundation Academy Sports, attend team open gym time, participate in specialty clinics (shooting, ball handling, etc.), and work with my personal trainer, John Haggai, who specializes in strength, agility, mobility, and individualized conditioning.

In the fall, I am a member of my school's football team as a wide receiver/tight end.

I also participate in my school's Jazz Show Choir program called Capital Swing (from August until May each school year), which includes high intensity choreography during class and weekly rehearsals and our Chamber Ensemble, which studies and performs college-level music repertoire.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
