Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to continue swimming in college simply because I have a huge love for this sport. I love the challenge it gives me every single day. Swimming also has helped me in a way with academics. It’s taught me how to time manage and never give up. My academics are really important for me so that’s also a huge part in looking for a college. Swimming has also really brought me most of my friends in life. I love people who like to work hard but can also have fun and I feel that’s a lot of swimmers. I love the positive environment swimming has and I just want to keep going for as long as possible. I also feel I have a lot of potential to get a lot faster and that excites me. I’m a very late grower so I’m just now starting to notice the benefits that provides me. I’m starting to get a lot faster in season, that’s where most of my best times have come from. In conclusion, I’m looking forward to getting to hopefully meet my future swim team and friends!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Some examples of how I display leadership can be that I’m in NHS so I have to do a lot of leadership roles there. I coach for my club team so a lot of kids look up to me and have to trust me in a way that I know what’s best for them. Finally I show leadership to all the swimmers on both the high school team and club. A lot of the underclassman always come up to me if they have a question about anything because they know I am someone they can always come to for anything.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I’m involved in national honor society in my school. That is a group that goes out and does community service activities in our community. Also our school has community service requirements to graduate so I’ve done at least 12 hours of community service.
