Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

It’s always been my dream to play sports in college. I’ve been playing sports since middle school, and sports have always been something I’m passionate about. They’re always fun and have always helped me maintain good athletic abilities. I enjoy seeing myself improve each year, and I plan to continue improving my skills.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I have demonstrated leadership skills with my team by providing feedback, but also receiving feedback from my team and coaches. I also provide motivation and support to my team, and also having good sportsmanship. I communicate well with my coaches and teammates. I’ve also ran practices and conditioning.

Off the field, I have leadership skills in school in grouped or partnered assignments . I encourage everyone to contribute and for everyone to be engaged in the assignments. I provide help when asked, along with explanations if I’m asked to proofread something. I organize and review assignments before submitting them in for my group. I also communicate well with my classmates.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student-athlete, I make sure to pursue healthy athletic performance all the time. Maintaining my athletic abilities and staying in shape have always been important to me. I make time out of my day to exercise and I always eat healthy. I always look for something to improve on in lacrosse, whether it’s in ground balls, catching or passing, or shooting, and stick work. I may be busy most of the time, but I still make sure to always maintain a healthy and good athletic performance.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I participate in a food pantry for a local church. I have to communicate with people, in English and Spanish, and collect information in order for them to receive the boxes of food. These efforts were important to me because I was able to help out the church in giving out food. During this pandemic, people may not have enough food at home or others may not be employed at the moment. I was able to help provide boxes of food for people, along with possibly blessing someone’s day with food during these hard times, and that makes me happy.
