Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited to play sports in college because I am ready to push myself and achieve my fullest potential, as well as be a strong member of a team. I am passionate about rowing and believe that if I was privileged enough to be given a spot on your team, I would definitely be an outstanding player and bring not only great numbers, but great energy and leadership initiative.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a leader in and out of the boathouse. In the classroom, I often lead discussions and maintain an upbeat energy in the class. I also always do my best and try to move the entire class forward in our learning efforts. In the boathouse, I always show up to practice ready to try my hardest and do my best. I not only strive to lead by example, but try to encourage others to do their best and help when needed.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I always strive to seize opportunities of service that are presented to me. A few examples of this is being a peer-tutor at the writing center and going to clean up on-campus gardens. I also help with campus-wide events in making sure that they run smoothly. Service is important to me because I know hoe necessary it is to give back to a community that has helped/is still helping to cultivate my success. By giving back to the community that has helped me succeed, I am able to help others succeed and make a better environment.
