2019 4A State Meet As a sophomore I qualified for all of my events at the state meet. The 100m, 200m, 4X100, and the 4X200. I had the opportunity to run against upper classmen and gain a lot of experience at the state level. Feb. 28, 2020 Timed Trials: 100m 10.75 PR ** Due to the pandemic I did not get a Junior year season. I am training, in order to start traveling out of state to compete in some indoor track meets. New Mexico has not allowed any sports since March 2020. |

To be recruited to run track in college would be an amazing opportunity and a dream! My goal for the next level of track is to be even more competitive with the help of skilled, knowledgable coaches who can help me reach my full potential.
To be a good leader you need to lead by example. I try to do this with the underclassmen on my team. One example is to have a lot of integrity and be respectful of your peers. During preseason last year I started helping an underclassman on my team. He wanted to be competitive but did not know how to go about it. I started including him in my workouts away from school and just began talking to him about what it takes to be a serious athlete.
Working out at the gym under the guidance of a trainer 2-3 days a week at Ardor Elite. Specific weight training and agility training. Weekly running workout. Protein shakes and creatine. Vitamin regiment from health nutritionist. Under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Speegle at Speegle Sports and Spine.
I have been involved with different community services with my church; Sagebrush. Before the pandemic I worked with Pit Stop, which is a program thru Sagebrush for single moms and the elderly needing car repairs. This last summer I worked along side my family with a huge food distribution to help families in need during the pandemic. The CommUnity Drive Thru, provided groceries for people of all walks of life in need. Many of these people had lost their jobs during the shut down and were in a desperate situation. During Halloween I was part of the clean up crew at Sagebrush for the annual Boo Spectacular. It is a huge drive thru event that is put on for kids all over Albuquerque and takes place over several nights.
The effort of helping out in my community is something that has made me aware that there is something much bigger than what my needs may be. It brings me a feeling of accomplishment that maybe on some small level, I was able to make a difference in someone else's life.
