Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love the game of volleyball and want to keep playing as long as I can and against the best competition available. To play in college while also obtaining an education is ideal and a primary goal of mine.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As a freshman, I started on the varsity team and served as a leader in bridging the gap between the JV and varsity teams, encouraging all the girls to work together and support each of the team regardless of skill level. As a result, our team was an incredibly tight-knit group with a one-for-all and all-for-one mentality.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Volleyball consumes a great deal of my time. In order to strike a healthy balance between academics, athletics, and social wellbeing, I am forced to become my own master of time management and scheduling. The same discipline required for on-court performance is needed in juggling school work, practices, private lessons, and downtime with friends.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

To be honest, given my schedule with schoolwork, high school volleyball, and club volleyball, I have not devoted a great deal of time to community service outside of small-scale church events and school service hours. I plan to make additional service a priority over the final two years of my high school education and work within school clubs to do so.
